Bio
Joachim LaValley has seven years of educational technology experience. He has taught technology classes to middle and high school students and spent a majority of his time assisting teachers in the implementation of technology into their daily instruction. Joachim has also served as a technology coach and IT help desk support while working at Urbana City Schools. In addition to working in Ohio, Joachim spent over a year working at Hilton Head Island Middle School where he was primarily responsible for overseeing technology integration at the classroom level in addition to assisting in the transition to the Google Apps for Education platform. He was previously a classroom teacher who taught English and social studies to middle school students before earning his Masters in Educational Technology from the University of Michigan. When away from work Joachim enjoys spending time with his family, wife Lori and children Tarquinn, Annika, and Elliette. Joachim has also coached basketball at the collegiate level and high school baseball.
